Privacy Policy for BlockNegativism

Last Updated: November 24, 2025

Thank you for using BlockNegativism ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our browser extension and website located at https://blocknegativism.top (collectively, the "Service").

Your privacy is fundamental to our mission. BlockNegativism is designed with privacy at its core - all content filtering happens locally on your device, and we never see or store your browsing data.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Our Privacy-First Commitment

BlockNegativism is built on the principle that your browsing activity is private and should remain that way.

No Tracking: We do not track your browsing history, the websites you visit, or the content you interact with.

Local Processing: The browser extension processes all content locally in your browser. Your browsing data never leaves your device.

- Training AI models on your browsing content
- Selling or renting your data

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We share limited information only with:

Stripe (Payment Processing): To process subscription payments. Stripe has its own privacy policy governing how they handle payment information.

Service Providers: We may share limited information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our Service (e.g., email service providers, hosting providers). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

- Local Storage Encryption: Data stored locally by the extension is encrypted using AES-256
- Secure Infrastructure: Our servers and databases employ security best practices including firewalls, access controls, and regular security audits
- Open Source: Our extension code is open source and publicly auditable, allowing security researchers to verify our privacy claims
- Third-Party Audits: We conduct regular security audits with independent security firms

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at bartzalewskidev@gmail.com, and we will delete such information.

9. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you use our Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., browser extension stores). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

11. Browser Permissions

The BlockNegativism extension requests certain browser permissions to function:

- Read and modify webpage content: Required to analyze and filter text on pages you visit. All processing happens locally.
- Storage: To save your preferences and settings locally on your device
- Active Tab: To apply filtering to the pages you're viewing

These permissions are used solely for the extension's core functionality. We do not use them to collect or transmit your browsing data.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common understanding of how to interpret DNT signals, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. However, our extension does not track your browsing regardless of DNT settings.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you via email (for account holders) or through a prominent notice in the extension or on our website.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

14. Contact Information

If you have questions, concerns, or requests related to this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices:

Email: bartzalewskidev@gmail.com

For data protection inquiries: bartzalewskidev@gmail.com

We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

15. Open Source Verification

Our extension code is open source and available for public review. Security researchers and privacy advocates are encouraged to audit our code to verify our privacy claims. Visit our GitHub repository at https://github.com/blocknegativism for the source code.
